My friend Meg invited us over to her crib to teach us how to cook our first apple cake and curry chicken, and traditional indian rice.
It was a long process between writing the recipe, observing and mixing all the ingredients, but the final product was worthy to endulge after all the hard work.
Meg and Luis were showing their skills at their piano.
Just the way you see it, that is the actual recipe to the last detail.
Even though, I lack the talent of playing the piano, I really enjoyed how they performed. I felt like playing some Beethoven classics!
That's Pablo's dream LCD/HDTV for our house. Sorry, Pablo in a couple of years when is on SALE.
We found out that Meg's apartment has the same style and color of our own sofas. Boooh, deja vu.
For you coffee lovers, if you wondering what is the gadget behind our apple cake... It is a Japanese coffee maker. How does it work? First, you start by poring water on the lower vessel, then you scoop ground coffee on the upper vessel. Immediately, put some fire under the lower vessel where the water eventually will heat. Once, the process is done the water starts flowing up from the lower to the upper vessel. Before coffee is ready to drink, you have to make sure all the water has been transfered to the upper vessel. You need to stir it couple of times to mix the coffee with hot water. When it's done, you remove the fire away from the lower vessel. This is when it gets tricky, the coffee goes down from the upper to the lower vessel. And Viola a good cup of coffee is done!!!
Apple Cake- hmm it was delicioso!!!
From Left to Right- (Meg, Samoa and me)We enjoyed our lovely evening with Meg, Luis, and Samoa. Definitely, we learned something new about cooking and music. Of course, we watched the OSCARS along the way with delicious food, dessert, and company. Hoping to share many more moments like this.
