Many people just want to go to the beach and party. Don't get me wrong I love to go to the beach. But the people forget about the meaning of Easter.
When I was a kid I use to go to every Catholic church with my grandmother. They decorated it so nice. We also attended the parade where Christ was laying on a wood and his mother was holding him. The parade still there, it is happening, my cousin is one of the guys who carry the statue of Jesus. They are all very dress up. It is quit a big deal. A crucial and important ceremony. I respect that, even though I might not agree with it.
For many that's just a symbol. But Catholics respect that a lot. I'm open and respect their believes. The most important thing is that they believe in God. They believe that he came here to our world and die for us.
I had great memories because of my grandmother. She died believing in Jesus Christ. Amen to that!!! I will see her one day and thank her for all her advices and life lessons. She lives always in my heart!
"For those of us that are Christians, we understand what Easter is all about. But for those that haven’t experienced this ‘new life’ in Jesus, I want to share with you the Easter story."
"When Jesus came, He was a representation of the sacrificial lamb to take away the sins of the world. He was the final sacrifice. We no longer have to sacrifice animals to make atonement for our sins. Jesus has done this once and for all. It’s His blood that cleanses us from all sin. He was crucified on the cross (the form of execution in those days). The sin of the world was upon Him, yet He was without sin and blameless. He bore it all. This is why Jesus is referred to as the ‘Lamb of God’. He was bodily resurrected (came back to life) on the third day. He appeared to many – eating and drinking with them. He appeared to them for 40 days, then ascended (went up to) Heaven" Acts 1: 1-11
Happy Easter! Let the peace of God reign in your hearts and in mine!
